Dental Care for TMU Students in Scarborough
Golden Mile Dental sees students from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) at 30 Bertrand Ave in Scarborough. As a participating dental office in the Student Discount Network, we offer eligible students 20% off dental services. We bill GreenShield directly. Bring your student ID and your GreenShield benefit card to your first visit.

- Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 7 PM
- Friday and Saturday 8:30 AM to 3 PM.
Tooth Extraction
No one looks forward to having a tooth removed. If your dentist has told you a tooth can’t be saved, we’ll walk you through what happens next. Golden Mile Dental provides tooth extraction for TMU students under local anesthesia. The TMSU plan pays 75% of a simple extraction. Wisdom teeth that need surgery can cost more, so we send an estimate to GreenShield first.
Checkups and Cleanings
A checkup and cleaning once a year is the easiest way to use your plan. The TMSU plan pays 80% of your recall exam, bitewing X-rays, cleaning and polishing. We book around your class schedule.
Root Canal Treatment
Deep decay or a cracked tooth can leave the nerve inflamed or infected. Root canal treatment relieves the pain and lets you keep the tooth. The TMSU plan pays 10% of root canal treatment, so we give you a written estimate before we start.
Emergency Visits
Toothache, swelling, a broken tooth or a lost filling? Call us during office hours and we’ll find you a same-day spot whenever one is open. The TMSU plan pays 80% of an emergency exam. Walk-ins are welcome.
Fillings
The TMSU plan pays 75% of tooth-coloured and fillings, up to your yearly maximum. We check what is left on your plan before we start. Call us to book.
